The Five Pillars

Education & Access

We bring the magic of opera to classrooms and inspire young minds.

Expanding Arts Education

Our youth want more access

Florida Grand Opera reaches more than 25,000 students each year through curriculum-aligned programs that connect classrooms to the rehearsal hall and mainstage — building the next generation of artists and audiences.

This season, we are expanding Education and Access across South Florida. OperaQuest engages 3,000+ elementary students. H.O.P.E. serves 8,000+ middle and high school students through dress rehearsals. We are growing In-School Opera regionally and launching an Opera Outreach Troupe, while increasing transportation, enrichment, and meal support to remove barriers and ensure every child can participate.

Why?

  • Creates safe, inspiring spaces for students
  • Gives kids a reason to engage with school beyond academics
  • Replaces lost arts funding with meaningful access
  • Moves students off screens into live cultural experiences
  • Builds confidence, empathy, and discipline
  • Strengthens society by investing in the next generation

My students were absolutely captivated — they didn't want it to end.
